Gourmesso offers you sustainable and fair trade coffee. All Gourmesso varieties are filled with Fairtrade certified coffee. Fairtrade is an international initiative that promotes fair trade in various products. Fixed minimum prices ensure the coffee farmers a stable income. Fairtrade also supports various social, environmental and economic projects. We also stock a selection of organic coffee. ""Organic"" means that 95% of the coffee's ingredients come from organic farming. By not using synthetic pesticides, the climate and the environment are protected and the natural taste of the product is preserved.

Our coffee capsules are compatible with all common Nespresso®* machines and models such as Citiz, Inissia, Pixie, U or Lattissima and with almost all coffee machines for 37 mm diameter coffee capsules. Our coffee beans come from the best growing areas in the world. We combine balanced blends of Arabicas and Robustas from Peru, Brazil, Vietnam, Honduras, Mexico, Ethiopia and India into unique, full-bodied varieties. The beans are processed, roasted, ground and packed airtight in our capsules. These retain the unique Gourmesso aroma for up to two years and guarantee you fresh coffee enjoyment.

Comparison of different coffee capsule providers

Our goal is to improve the ecological balance of our capsules so that we can offer you 100% responsible coffee enjoyment in the long term. That's why we not only offer you the largest range of Fairtrade capsules and coffees from organic farming, but also try to produce our capsules more sustainably and from environmentally friendly materials. At the beginning of 2017, we therefore introduced a capsule made of compostable materials, which initially had to be sealed with a non-compostable film to ensure the freshness and shelf life of the coffee. However, this capsule solution brought with it problems in terms of compatibility and coffee quality. For this reason, our coffees are being sent in polypropylene capsules again for the time being. We are currently working on a compostable line and trying to develop a fully compostable capsule. We will keep you informed about new developments!
